Other than Will, I'm Baklava's only friend on facebook. I'm not joking. He has one (me) and two (Will) friends on facebook. That's why, if he sends me messages or if he's on facebook chat, I know it's because he's there to check my wall posts, status updates, pictures, you name it. This is quite a reasonable conclusion to make for two reasons. For one, as far as I'm aware, he doesn't have a thing for Will. Second, he's made some extremely creepy comments in the past, for example, he said he really liked picture 352 out of 653 of my photos (which tells me he's gone through each and every one of my photos, even noting their numbers) and that he knew where I was on certain days based on my friends' comments (he once asked me how I enjoyed dinner with my friend on the 9th of September).
I've had a stalker in the past, so in my attempt to pre-empt a similar outcome, I decided I would put Baklava on limited profile on facebook. This way, he wouldn't know who I was going out with, where I was going, or what I was up to. I would also feel safe in the knowledge that he wasn't using any of my photographs to masturbate to.
Within a few hours, I get a message from Baklava:
hey, why can't I see your wall and photos? Come on Morgannnn, you can't put limitation to me, I need to browse and imagine. Please, make me free.
I really need to get rid of this one once and for all.
At first, I gave him credit for being foreign and not being able to convey his feelings/thoughts properly. Now, with him showing signs of desperation and obsession, I'm convinced things are bound to turn sour. Surely, it's not a Turkish trend to stalk a girl on facebook and then actually tell the girl that she has been thoroughly facebook stalked. Surely, it's not a Turkish trend to ask a girl to un-limit her profile so that one can "browse and imagine" and be "made free". No, I'm convinced there is no longer a cultural aspect to this. This is pure and simple stalking. Let's just hope it doesn't go beyond facebook (fingers crossed, considering he knows where I live and where I work). I'm still trying to decide the best way of letting him down (or telling him to f*ck off). Tweedle, Will, Oxford D and Oxford A all think I should be cordial toward him, telling him that things between us can go no further for religious, emotional, or practical reasons. Blah blah blah. I, on the other hand, would just like to tell him that he is creeping me the f*ck out and that only weird, crazy f*ckers go around, not only memorising but also verbalising, which photos they liked/what friends' comments they noted on facebook. Moreover, he now sends me three or four text messages back to back, without even waiting for me to respond to the first message. Where did he pick up such an embarrassing and desperate technique? It really gives me the heeby jeebies.
I doubt Thumb Ring and I will meet again. He wasn't best pleased with me on Friday for (conveniently) forgetting about our date.
Smarty is annoying me with his slow and stupid ways, and I'm starting to lose interest.
Baklava is creepy.
Really, where are all the decent men? Someone, please tell me.
Morgan's tale of sex and frolic
Let me tell you a tale as it unfolds of a girl's experiences most true and profound. She is a girl of 28, a worldly and educated sort who once upon a time had the convenience of falling into a great and spiraling love, an almost mythical kind of love (mirroring those of the Greek gods), which would eventually end in an equally thunderous and tumultuous way. Since her unprecedented heartbreak, she has been meeting and cavorting with several young male companions, usually with the assistance of her sophisticated friend, Sauvignon. Her name: Morgan. Her ambition: lawyer. Her bad luck: men.
The tale must be told, of Morgan's experiences with the opposite sex, since her union with her first love was brought to an end. These experiences are bound to shock, marvel and astonish, but alas, they must be told, as they are all based on true events. There must no doubt be a force trying to reckon with Morgan. It is only a wonder what kind of karma she must have pissed off.
The tale begins...
